For many of us, our lives have been turned upside-down by the current public health crisis, but the fundamental human need to create remains intense. Art is just one way that we experience community. It is essential for us to come together in these trying times to sustain our culture--our very humanity. I urge you to join in bringing attention to the power of the human spirit through creativity across the globe by donating to Ongoing Conversation. This project's mission is “to bring together disparate voices in the visual arts through an international purview in order to examine cross-cultural similarities of the human condition.” Soude Dadras, the curator of Ongoing Conversation, represents more than 1,000 artists from 23 countries and counting; this representation and inclusivity is essential to the artist's personal creative process and professional curatorial projects. With the onset of the Coronavirus Pandemic, funding for creative projects is hard to come by. I am asking for donations to this project to help alleviate the financial costs of creating community through art. Because this is an international curatorial project, the shipping costs for the artists to send their finished works is extremely high. In order to have the highest quality of participation, we need funds to ensure the art gets to its final destination. The money we raise will also help pay for the venue fees for the upcoming shows, enhance the project's publicity, and buy materials so that the show's attendees can participate and become the artists themselves. Your donations will make it possible for over 1,000 artists to be featured in these upcoming Exhibitions. No amount is too small; each of your donations goes toward building a community that will help us get through this pandemic without sacrificing the creative spirit that drives humanity.
